We may obtain personally identifiable information about you ONLY if you elect to give us that information. Types of personally identifiable information we ask you to provide may include the following:

When you visit our Web site, we automatically collect information about your visit that does not identify you personally. We can tell the type of computer, browser, and Web service you are using. We also know the date, time, and pages you visit. Collecting this information helps us design the site to suit your needs.

Generally, our uses of information collected online include:

• Respond to your inquiry about volunteering time to the MNPS
• Enable you to make a donation
• Deliver services, such as sending marketing communications and newsletters

A cookie is a small data file that a Web site may send to your browser and which may then be stored on your hard drive. Our Web site currently uses session cookies to enable our online donation application.

Web sites use session cookies to ensure that you are recognised when you move from page to page within one site and that any information you have entered is remembered. For example, if our online donation pages did not use session cookies then fields you have filled out would disappear by the time you reach the payment page. You can choose to accept session cookies by changing the settings in your browser.

Session cookies are temporary and are erased when you close your browser.

Our Web site may also use other technologies to track which pages on our Web sites our visitors view. This non-identifiable click-stream data helps us understand how visitors use our Web site.

MNPS may need to share personal information with third parties in limited circumstances. For example, we may release personal information to third parties to perform services on our behalf such as: advising you of our upcoming events, products, volunteer opportunities, or processing credit card payments. Third parties retained by MNPS to provide such services are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of this information and are not authorized to use this information for any purpose other than providing those services.

MNPS respects your right to privacy.  However, as a non-profit, we occasionally share information with other entities in the arts and broader community.  If you do not want your information shared with any of our third party partners, please opt out as indicated in the section below.

From time to time, we may be required to provide personal information in response to a valid court order, subpoena, government investigation, or as otherwise required by law. We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we, in good faith, believe to be unlawful. We may release certain personal information when we believe that such release is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of others and ourselves.
